Why join REACH Across?
REACH Across provides and a safe and fun environment for young people to develop themselves personally and as part of a wider network of peers.
“When I first joined REACH Across, I was introverted and shy. Now, thanks to the continued support of members and leaders, I have come out of my shell and can talk to anyone without fear.”
“I believe REACH Across is needed more than ever in our city, teaching teenagers to respect each other’s beliefs. They have helped so many teenagers and I really hope they know what an amazing job they do and how much they are appreciated.”
How do I become a member?
As a young person based in the North-West region of Northern Ireland, you can become a member of REACH Across provided that you are 14 years of age by the end of the school year (30th June 2024). You can then continue on as part of the club until you are 18 years old, at which point you can take steps to volunteer with REACH Across as an assistant youth leader.
There are a few ways for you to sign up as a member. Before the annual spring residentials, we visit local schools to provide a short information assembly about the upcoming opportunities in our youth program. At these assembly talks, you can collect an application form and return it to your school reception. We try to call into the school a week after the talk to collect any application forms, so we can send out invites for the spring residentials.
After the spring residentials, you can still complete an application form online, contacting us to arrange a visit or visiting at the start of club night to complete an application form.
