Members braved a cold night to fundraise for the youth club and to raise awareness of youth homelessness.
Our annual Sleep-Out was an amazing success, thanks to the efforts of 55 members & leaders and the support of local organisations. The Sleep-Out was staged in St. Columb's Park and during the night, the group set up tents, chatted with Roisin from N/W Community Network, had song and dance sessions and made pizzas on-site.
This year's Sleep-Out aimed to raise essential funds for R.E.A.C.H Across, as well as highlighting homeless young people and supporting the District of Hope campaign. Our members were brilliant on the night and were highly respectful of our rules and the council site.
Thanks to Emma and Gary From Derry City and Strabane District Council and Sharon and Liam From St Columb's Park House, for help with arranging the site and facilities.
Thanks to Roisin from North-West Community Network for coming to meet our members and to launch the Sleep-Out, as part of the District of Hope.
Thanks to our Leaders Louise, Catherine, Glenn, Tiernan, Shannon, Ryan and Nathan For Supervising The Sleep-Out And Managing Refreshments And To Caolan and Julie for helping to set up the tents.
Thanks to the friends and families of our Members, who helped to raise £1800 for the Sleep Out.
Lastly, a massive thanks to our Members for all your fundraising efforts and for your excellent behaviour and help throughout the night and during the closing tidy up.
